Villa Petrea is an eighteenth century villa built in typical Leopoldine style.

It is situated on the outskirts of the Chianti region
in the village of Bucine, along the round that passes through the Ambra valley.

The villa is on the top of a hill surrounded by cypresses and centuries-old olive trees.

It is said that the Villa was originally built as a hunting lodge for Florentine nobles who used to come to the Ambra valley to enjoy themselves in a romantic and evocative rural setting.

The Villa has been completely renovated in order to bring its standard of interior comfort up to the level of the beauty of the building and the result is absolutely high quality.

All of the bedrooms have their own bathroom, satellite-TV, telephone, internet access and air-conditioning, and a bedroom on the ground floor has also been equipped for the disabled.

The interior is entirely in typical tuscan style with some antique pieces and with high-quality furnishings, the kitchen is well-equipped and comes complete with dishwasher.

It is situated in the middle of the Tuscan cities of Florence, Siena and Arezzo and nearby there are many Villages which offer the chance of discovering exceptional artist treasures.

Villa Petrea can accomodate 16-2 people in 8 bedrooms with 9 bathrooms, with outdoor large covered patio, barbecue, private swimming pool and a beautiful view over the valley.

Outside, besides the private 7x14m (46x23 feet) swimming-pool, there is a large covered patio furnished with tables and chairs for dining outside, a barbecue and a mediterranean garden with a beautiful view over the valley.

You can also hire mountain-bikes on the premises or a local cook who will prepare Tuscan delicacies for you at the villa.

Rental Conditions

Check-in: saturday between 5:00 and 7:30 pm
Check-out: saturday before 9.30 am

Included in the price:
cleaning service for 3 hours per day except Sunday,
bathroom linen is changed twice a week
towels are provided for the swimming-pool.

The owner of the villa is a tennis teacher and you can organize lessons on request at the nearby tennis club in Montevarchi.

You can also hire mountain-bikes on the premises or a local cook who will prepare tuscan delicacies for you at the villa.
